Your Free Gift From The Father
"For God so loved the
world that He gave His only Son,
(Jesus Christ) that anyone who
believes in Him, shall not
perish but have eternal life. (John
3:16)
Why Do I Need
God In My Life?
Man was made in the image and likeness
of God, to have a
relationship with Him. (Genesis 1:26) If that
relationship
is not there, men and women will try to fill that
empty part
of their lives with anything and everything on this
planet,
i.e.. material possessions, alcohol, drugs, sexual
partners
and so on. It will never take the place of God, it may
help
for a while but it will never satisfy completely. Only
God
can give you a peace that you cannot buy.
How Can I Have This Peace And
Satisfaction You Say Only God Can Give
You?
By believing that Jesus took all the
sins of the world upon himself, when John the Baptist laid hand's on
Jesus in the River Jordan, and that He paid the ultimate price by
the shedding of His Blood on the Cross And that he was raised from
the grave after 3 days. and is now seated at the right hand of the
Father.
Admit that you have sinned, Ask God to forgive you for
your sin though Jesus Christ who took All the sins of the world upon
himself when he was baptized by john the baptist in the River
Jordan, died on a cross for you and was raised from the dead after 3
days, and asking Jesus to come into your heart
forever
(John 14:16). If you ask him to come. He will, all
your
past, present & future sins have been forgiven and Jesus will take
all the guilt off your shoulders. God said "I will forgive
their wickedness and will remember their sins no
more"
(Hebrews 8:12). If you meant that prayer and said it
out
loud, you are now a born again Christian, God has come into
your heart. and will be with you for all eternity.
What Happens Now I
Have Said That Prayer?
You have now been washed clean by the blood of Jesus
Christ and all your sins are now completely forgiven. The
relationship to God is now open, God's Holy Spirit will be helping
you now to put you on the right path, by trusting on
Him.
Can I Trust
God?
God is not a
man, that he should lie (Numbers 23:19)
How Can I Start to Know This
God?
The Bible is
God's word, He will start to put people in your
path to help you.
The New King James or New International
Version of the Bible will
help you. The Gospels of Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John show
Jesus.
I Don't
Believe God Exists So How Can I Know The
Truth?
Simply by
asking Jesus to help you with your unbelief, to make
it plain to
you as an individual that "Jesus loves you!" Jesus
said "Ask and
it will be given, seek and you will find, knock
and the door will
be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)
Do I Have To Go To A Church
Building?
Once you
became a Christian you also became part of the
church, the body
of Jesus (Ephesians 1:22), (1 Peter 2:5).
Going to a church
building doesn't make you a Christian. It's a
building where
Christians sing, pray and hear God's word.
You can sing and pray
to God in your own home, let
Jesus take care of it and guide
you.
Do I Have To Stop
My Habits, Smoking, Drinking, Swearing etc?
Jesus will start to strengthen you. He
will change your desires
from within and Jesus can set you free
from all bondage of any
kind (John 8:36). God does not force
Himself on you. He
wants you to go to Him as a child would go to
a loving Father.
Is
There Anything I Have Done Wrong To Stop Jesus From
Coming To Me
And Forgiving Me?
No! we all have sinned and fall short, but are
justified freely by
His grace (undeserved favour) (Romans 3:23).
The only one to
stop Him coming is you by not asking for
forgiveness! When
God forgives you, sometimes family, friends,
workmates etc
may try to remind you of your past and even as a
joke try to
upset you, but it won't matter, it's what God
forgives and
forgets that matters. Everyone of us will go to our
deaths on
our own, so everyone will have to stand before God as
an
individual, but with the blood of Jesus, our sins are
washed
away, we will have no fear of death. There is no
condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1)
